Delta Phi Alpha Junior Scholarship Award

Each year, one outstanding sophomore or junior major in German is selected in the United States to receive the junior scholarship. This junior is a member of Delta Phi Alpha, has demonstrated excellence in the field of German Studies, and intends to further his / her German studies with research and study abroad in a German-speaking country.  Winner of the sophomore-junior award may receive the stipend for academic work in the summer or during the regular fall-spring academic session.

Prize: $1000

A student applying for second prize must be:

  • a member of Delta Phi Alpha

  • a bona fide sophomore or junior

  • have a plan to study abroad in a German speaking country
