Delta Phi Alpha Scholarship Awards

Each year, one graduating senior German major is selected in the United States to receive the senior scholarship. This senior must be a member of Delta Phi Alpha, have demonstrated excellence in the field of German Studies, and intend to further his / her German studies with research and study abroad in a German-speaking country. This student will be recognized by Delta Phi Alpha as the most outstanding graduating senior and will receive a cash prize of $2500. The graduating senior must also intend to proceed directly with graduate work upon returning to the U.S and apply for the DAAD grant if named the recipient of the prize.

In addition, each year a sophomore or junior is selected to receive a prize of $1500 to help defray costs of study abroad in a German-speaking country.  Applicants, who must be members of Delta Phi Alpha, should present a plan for study abroad with the application.
